About Us
First Baptist Church, Moriarty is all about people - people who matter to God and who want to know Him. As a Southern Baptist Church, we join with like-minded Christians in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in Moriarty, the East Mountain community and all over the world.
The People Church is more than just a catchy name. We hope that it gives you insight into just who we are.
When he lived on the earth, Christ showed love to people of all ages and backgrounds and we desire to do the same. That's why we have designed ministries geared to all kinds of people. In our Worship Service (10:45 Sunday mornings) we love to sing great hymns and passionate contemporary praise songs. The focus here is on celebration and an intimate encounter with God. We also offer Bible Study groups for all ages in Care Groups and strive to help all people get to know Christ and become who He wants them to be in our Christian Discipleship University on Wednesday evenings. Special programs are offered for children, teenagers, men, women.
We believe God is more interested in people than in anything else He ever created. We believe God created people to share life with Him, and at The People Church we want to do just that. Why not come check us out and see what happens when God and People get together?

FBC Moriarty, The People Church is located at Exit 196 (the second exit from either direction) just south of I-40. We're right behind the Circle K store on Old 66.
