Class 101 - Building a foundation to Christ!

We’re glad you’ve chosen to find out more about First Baptist Church, Moriarty “The People Church!” This class is the basic introduction into our church family. Since we have members from many different church backgrounds, this class is designed to explain who and what our church is. 

The Discovering My Membership Class is an important part of your spiritual growth here at The People Church. We help our members grow spiritually by enrolling them in a Life Development Process. This class is the beginning of the process. The process is not a checklist to be checked off. Rather, it is a series of commitments that help a person establish and build a relationship with Christ and His followers here at The People Church. Your presence in this class indicates you have an interest in spiritual growth. That is the initial presence for a lifetime of adventure with Jesus Christ. 
 
Ephesians 2:19 (TLB) Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s own family, citizens of God’s country, and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.
 
Class 201 - Discovering Spiritual Maturity!
We're glad you are investigating this class!  It is the second of First Baptist Church's four basic classes. Since these classes build on each other, you must first attend Discovering Church Membership #101 and sign the covenant before taking this class.
 
We dream of members who have committed themselves to the Spiritual Maturity Covenant: having a daily quiet time with God, giving regularly to God, and participating in a weekly Care Group for God.
 
(16)All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (17) so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

All materials will be provided. Bring a pen. Please sign up if you plan on taking this class. A light supper will be provided. We are asking you to give $2.00 towards the cost of the meal. Childcare will be provided by reservation. If you can help with childcare, please call the office at 832-6385 or indicate your willingness on your Communication Card.
